Default Help out a noob...how does nitrous exactly work?

I want a kit for a 2000 v6 stang. How exactly does it work? I know I need a tuner but withoutblowing the engine what shot should i put? Wet or dry on a bone sstock engine. Car is an automatic. I just want to have a little fun on this car for a few more years before going GT

Any advice? Thank you

Your going to want to install a throttle triggered switch with an auto, its liable to shift when it wants and blow your engine with you timing it yourself. Set it for a certain gear only when the peddle is at full throttle and the system is armed. And you're going to have to buy a universal kit and find a local tune shop to get set up "RIGHT". I'm sure you could wing it and cobble something together yourself but the money you're going to spend on this setup would prolly be better but in your sock drawer and then sell you're v6 and take it all together to buy a GT if you plan on going to a GT anyways.

How many miles do you have on your car? Nitrous isn't the playing field leveler that everyone thinks it is, its nothing like how its portrayed in movies and games, you would prolly be much happier with a better set of gears and a tuner, will make just as much difference on a v6, will be better on the engine, and will prolly be cheaper as well.

Don't compare the price of the parts themselves alone, don't forget with the nitrous you need to carry it to a tune shop and they usually charge by the hour.
