OK, so here's the deal, if you "don't mind spending extra money" this is what you need:

Forged block (rotating assembly) from super six motorsports
Stage 3 Kit from super six
Procharger System
T-56 transmission and or TKO 500 (manual)
Stage 2 or 3 clutch (manual)
High stall torque converter (auto)
SCT X Cal Tuner + Custom dyno tune
8.8" rear end with eaton or detroit differential upgrade
13" Front/11" rear brake systems with dual piston calipers (front)
Coil over suspension kit
Upper/Lower control arms

Total investment = approx $10,000
Total Hp Output = approx 350-400 rwhp
Resell/Trade in value = less than $4000

In relation to your other thread, this is why people say "buy a GT". It's not to be mean, it just means from a financing standpoint, this is a bad, bad, bad investment.

There's a reason why I own 2 2013 Mustangs and not an old beater for the wife and a "built 98 V6" and that's because, IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE FINANCIAL SENSE!

What you said all makes 100% perfect sense financially, however, I don't think its fair to add in the above mods in that price ONLY because they would be upgrades on a GT as well.

That goes back to if you're going to spend the money might as well be on the "bigger" car.

And GT versus V6 should have nothing to do with the trans upgrades, tune, or rear end. That's down to making high hp numbers. Which is what the OP wants, so that needs to be included either way.

Brakes, and coilovers could be glossed over, yeah brakes are a nice thing to beef up but you could get better discs and pads and make a decent improvement, and as long as the stock shocks/struts/springs are in good shape you could live with that.

A case could be made either direction for control arms, I'd say yes include them because the extra torque being made with put a decent flex on the stock stuff.
