Im no longer sure my brake troubles are gone even with a new master cylinder. Yesterday I went to that same town...its a good 40 mile drive. On the way home I started smelling that same burned wiring insulation again....perhaps brake fluid?....and the brake pedal stiffened up a little but after a pump or two it was back to normal. Then I noticed that after a full stop the driver's side front brake would stay locked to the rotor until I started off and it would pop loose and be fine. Theres not a bunch of extra stops or braking than usual either. The only thing different is I tend to keep the revs high on this drive and engine brake a lot and downshift.

So now Im not sure what to do. The brakes still work this time unlike the last time. Thought Id let it go and keep an eye on it for a bit.

The smell might be the pads cooking themselves when it sticks, might be a caliper going bad or a collapsed break line possibly?
