So I am thinking about buying an '04 V6. Sounds great right...... But I want to put the Coyote 5.0 engine in it. After that I will add the Tremec T56 transmission (6 speed manual) Spec stage 3 clutch, Spec aluminum flywheel, and a drive shaft from Tremec. Once its up and running I am thinking about adding a little power with the Roush R2300 phase 1 supercharger kit.
So what do you think.

How much do you want to spend on this project? and how much do you know about wiring vehicles?
The Coyote would need it's own computer system, and you would need to integrate it into the 04's dash. The motor and tranny should fit ok, but expect to do some modifications to the car to get everything to fit right. Also don't forget to upgrade the suspension and brakes. I would guess for the motor/tranny combo you are looking at $10,000 brand new, maybe cheaper used if you can find it, plus suspension, plus a ton of work, and you would be somewhere close to $15000, probably more. At that point go search for a used 2011 v8 with a lot of miles and it might be the same, or cheaper, and have fewer issues in the long run.
But this is just my opinion... I might be completely wrong.

No you're right about that. It is a lot of work and it wont be cheap. Im looking to spend about $20k for it though. $20k should cover just about everything too.

I've seen this done in a few magazines and TV shows, not sure if it's as easy as they make it out to be. Seems like the Ford Racing 5.0L DOHC Aluminator Supercharger-Ready Crate Engines M-6007-A50SC is the one used. They start out pretty reasonably at $8-$9 K for a long block.

If that's what you want to do, more power to ya.
I personally would get the newest car I can find for that kind of money, you might be able to get a 12-13 coyote for $20k if you don't mind some extra miles... , does that include buying the car?

Yeah so the reason I want the '04 is because it is my favorite year stang. Thats the only reason I dont go out and buy a new one.
But yeah it should be a fun build, who knows..... we will see!

VSR performance in the tampa/Bradenton florida area has done this swap into the new edge car before. Get with them and they can tell you exactly what it entails and cost.

I thought I saw that at one point ford racing had an install kit to put the coyote in a new edge????

There are a couple conversion kits that allow you to put this model on any year car, but why use a V6 as your base building block when the GT comes with more of "what you need" to do the actual swap without running into a ton of secondary issues due to the fact the V6s just come with less than the GTs.

Good point, cause then you will need a bigger rear, suspension, transmission, fuel system, that would add up quick
