#11
yea I know all my friends tell me that but how would I install a new one my self I dont own a garage and I believe that shops dont take parts you buy ? Id pay someone to do it that knew how but I dont know any mechanics. Maybe I can find someone this car is becoming a real problem.

4000 is prolly including motor, labor, and incidentals, but any reputable shop will let you find the parts yourself and install it for you. If they wont then go to another shop. 4 grand is pretty crazy though when you can buy another running car the same year model for about that.
I agree on the shop trying to take advantage.

Just a thought, find another same year model that runs but might have a rough interior or something and swap your good stuff onto it then have a scrap yard buy the one with the blown motor off you. A basic tool set from Lowe's or sears is all you need to swap interior stuff.
