Default Cold air intake question.

I'm a complete newbie to the mustang world. Just picked up my 2003 6 cylinder and plan on doing a few mods to it. I've looked through the forums and have a few ideas on what I want to do. I'm looking to put on a cold-air intake and have a couple questions. Is there a certain brand that I should look for? I saw one on e-bay that has a K&N filter (those are good on bikes so must be for cars too?) and the price seems fair ($65). What will that do to the factory warranty on the motor and is this mod worth the money?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Edited to add: Also, is this something I can do with hubby's help fairly easily?

Default Cold air intake question.

I'd stick to making it in your back yard.

You can make a VERY comparable kit compared to teh MAC ones for well under $60.

If you want to build it yourself then check this out http://jman.stangnet.com/coldair/coldprnt.htm. I realize this setup is for a 2.3L but it'll give you some insight on what it will take to build your own. </P>
