Default 2000 V6 rough idle when first started

I read another thread where someone is having a similar problem, but his symptoms are different.
My car will idle rough for about 30 secs after starting it, and then smooths out. Seems to do it more after the engine is warm. I don't have any engine codes.
Any ideas?

Did this just start after you replaced the plugs?

That was my thought too, but my daughter said that it has been happening off and on for awhile.

I would look into the thermostat and the sensor. Also could be the IAC sensor as well.

Just curious. Why the thermostat?

You said the problem gets worse as the engine gets warmer. Could be in relation to a fuel delivery or spark issue. The thermostat sensor helps monitor engine temp to control both of these. Remember I'm talking about the sensor, not the thermostat that controls radiator fluid flow.

Other things to look for would be MAF sensor issues, coil pack failure, spark plug gap, spark plug failure, IAC, sensor failure, AIT sensor failure.

Try cleaning your Idle Air Control Valve. Those tend to get gummed up on the new edges.
