Exclamation HELP! I think something is wrong!

Info on car first...
2001 Mustang 3.8 V6
132xxx
no CEL's
dosent over heat
dosent knock
dosent smoke
runs great

Past few days i'v been tuning up my baby. The other day i did spark plugs because they had never been done. Gap was BAD. You'd think then the dealer promises they have tuned up the car they would so SPARK PLUGS. but nope. Oh well, did that, put in another new alternator, new wires, running Marvel Mystery oil because im doing an oil change thursday... Stuff like that... But today when i was showing some one what a coil pack was (they dident know what it was) i noticed... On the top of my motor, in the middle of my lower intake namifold coolant is pooling!!!! I have no idea where its coming from! all the hoses and the water pump look clean, and its like... right in the middle. you can see it from on top, its on the outside of the motor only, no oil in coolant, no coolant in oil, no bubbles in coolant, 90% sure its not a head gasket... Dosent seem to be losing it too fast, either... Any one have ANY idea where its coming form?! I dont want my baby to lose an engine... Not after all the work i jut put into it getting her running good again!

There is only two ways coolant can get on top of the lower intake.

Cracked lower or a hose has/had a hole and it sprayed there.

Thanks, i figured it out though... Its the gasket... ITs leaking slowly... Really really slowly. I cleaned it off today and let it run, after about 20 miniuts it had a little puddle, i watched it bubble out form where the gasket was between the lower intake and the cylender head. no cracks, leaking from the top part of the gasket where the intake touches the rubber, looks like im doing intake gaskets!

You might try Bar's Leaks first. If it's that small, sealant will probably do the job.

That stuff is a band aid not a fix. It gums up the entire system making it less efficient.

Intake gaskets are not that hard to replace on these cars. It also gives you a chance to clean the oil buildup out of the runners from the pcv and egr valves.

All he needs is a band-aid, if the leak is that small.

I've never had Bar's Leaks "gum up" a system, and I've been using it since the 1970's. But then, I only use it one time, instead of putting in bottle after bottle.

Anything you add to coolant or oil system straight through the places to add more that "plug" leaks are the worst thing for a car, they should only be used on a car that's not gonna last much longer to begin with till you get something new, they may have worked alright on older vehicles, but have a tendency to gum up passages and sensors on newer vehicle causing all kinds of other problems. If its just an intake gasket its fairly simple and cheap to fix it the right way first, and have that piece of mind that its done right.
