This video makes them appear to be pretty bright and wide not just concentrated in the middle.

I love LED's but I always thought they were too dim for low beam/street use. I know tech has come a long way since I last looked but unless HB3 fits H3, I'll need to stick with an HID upgrade. Besides, I cant afford 80 bucks at the moment, especially when I can put a decent HID kit in for 40.

Hey, so I am considering purchasing
Amazon.com: HID Xenon Headlight Conversion Kit by Kensun, H3C, 6000K - 2 Year Warranty: Automotive Amazon.com: HID Xenon Headlight Conversion Kit by Kensun, H3C, 6000K - 2 Year Warranty: Automotive
to upgrade but my problem is, though they are H3, that extra c does change things. Does anyone know how to convert it to H3? is it even possible?
I am limited/unable to fit the traditional length HID bulbs into my headlights housing, they are too long - the bulb for some reason plugs into the side of the headlight not the back like the stock headlights did.
And so you all know what product to AVOID. http://www.specdtuning.com/2lhp-mst94jm-tm.html -- Do not buy these! such crap.... I can't believe i wasted $120 on them.

Try ddmtuning.com for hid kits, that's where all mine have come from recently.

How have they been working for you? how did the packaging come? I keep seeing reviews for other kits where wires are a fire hazard, cheap unprotected insides for the ballasts, etc. 17 bucks for shipping seems excessive but if the product is worth it. I also like the lifetime warranty they offer.

Also, I contacted the manufacturer of the headlights and they claim H3 HIDs will fit so, it's now matter of finding kit that is worth my money.

I've never had an issue with anything I have bought from them, I have had a kit in an 86 rx7, 95 thunderbird, 02 focus, 97 Cherokee, and my 04 mustang. I do recommend using a dual relay harness if you can source one, but the ballasts and bulbs from ddm seem pretty solid. I got my last relay harness from retrofitsource I believe.

So after another horrible time driving at night (in rain) I went home and immediately ordered some HIDs from DDMTuning. Did yours ship from China too? Supposedly they ship from 3 main locations but despite being east coast, mine shipped from China. Goodie. How bleepin long am I going to wait... Maybe I shoulda just got that cheapo Kensun Kit from amazon...

H3 - 5000K 35w set ordered.

Amazon will ship from china as well, then you have to go through a third party site to get to the seller, my stuff from ddm only has ever taken like a week or two at most. But if there is an issue you are able to contact the company directly, not a guy selling stuff for some company in china through amazon. And with HID you get what you pay for, that amazon kit would have you replacing stuff in under a year almost guaranteed.

So they FINALLY came this past tuesday. Had them installed today (took like 30 minutes, and only because trying to decide where to mount the ballasts..) The before and after is HUGE. I am so glad it works now, I can see the road, signs, lines, etc. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain heavily so I can also test it on that too. Below is the before and after pictures.

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/100_9950.jpg Before - Stock halogen bulbs (Cam settings f/2.8, 3" ap.)

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/100_9955.jpg After - 5k 35w HID (Cam settings f/2.8, 3" ap.)

I tried to reproduce the same everything, but note, one is a little more blurry, my camera hates dim light, and the garbage bucket is not in the way in the after picture.
