I am not familiar with the differences in the '94 & '01 wiring harnesses, but maybe you have that worked out. In simple terms, the crank pos sensor(CPS) sends a signal to the Ign cntrl mod (ICM), the ICM sends a signal to the PCM (RPM signal) and the PCM returns a signal to the ICM to fire the coils. I don't have a wiring diagram, but there is a way to bypass the PCM and fire the coils with a test light to make sure the ICM and coils are functioning. Post a diagram of ignition wiring diagram if you have it and we can go from there. Also, a possibility of a security system issue in the middle of this.

Are you using the 01 keys or the 94 keys? the 01 is chipped and the computer might be looking for the key's signal before delivering spark. a regular nonchipped key will crank the motor over but not actually start it.

The chipped keys are linked to the cluster and the computer i believe, so the best thing is going to be to run all the old computers.

I been using everything from the doner car which was a 96 that they dropped it into so I have the 94 interior harness then have the 96 motor harness and plugged in the 96 computer perdy much everything plugged into the motor other then it didnt have a plug for what looks like a head temp sensor and another module that sits on top of the back a the block between the motor and the fire wall
