Default Seatbelt spray?

Sorry to go back to this subject but I could not find my old thread on it.

My seat belts..like all Mustang ones...suck *** big time. They will not roll out easy and getting them to retract is impossible almost. I remember someone mentioning a spray of some type you could spray them with and it helped them slide better.

Im not sure it would help but Ill try anything. Im having to stand in the freezing cold and the rain while my wife gets in then helping her pull and connect the seat belts every trip.

Is it a Teflon spray of some sort or what? Whats best to use if I want to try this stop gap fix?

Still got nothing done. I never remember the spray and the damn things are becoming SO annoying Im tempted to cut them out. I dont want to replace them because I hear it wont help because all seatbelts in this model suck. Sigh. Going to look for spray right now.

I don’t know about any spray that will fix your problem, but it is likely that something has gotten into the retracting mechanism that prevents it from spinning properly or the belt is twisted behind the trim panel. I’d take the trim panels off that cover it and see whats going on inside. I would then spray some white lithium grease on the mechanism rotational points to help them spin easier. I wouldn’t spray anything on the belts themselves because it will ultimately get on your cloths. Good luck...
