Default new fuel pump wont start

Hello all.
I have a 2001 Mustang Conv v6
its been sitting a while and would not start.
couldn't hear the fuel pump so i got a fuel pressure gauge and 0 pressure.
barely a drip with i pressed the sharder valve.
so i install a new pump and filter.
hums nicely with the key on but will not start.
still 0 fuel pressure on the gauge but it sprays ***** when i press the sharder valve stem.
will fire when i spray starter fluid into the throttle body but that's it.
i replaced the camshaft position sensor to no effect.
any advice?

the injectors may be gummed up with laquer from sitting. or the gas is bad. how long did it sit?

Check to see if the gas is still flamable.

That may be too muuch seafoam for only 5 gallons of gas. it may be closer to diesel fuel now and need heated up before being able to ignite.

Try adding more fuel to dilute it or drain the tank and start over with fresh 100% gas

Back up to the zero fuel pressure. First check your fuel pressure gauge on a known good car. If you still have 0 fuel pressure find out why. I have seen a pump wired backwards when only the fuel pump is replaced - the pump will run backwards and not produce pressure. Work your way forward from the tank to ensure you have fuel flow and pressure.

If your gauge is good and you're properly wired, with no pressure, disconnect the line to the pump and hook a HAND-OPERATED tire pump to the Schraeder valve. Now GENTLY stroke the pump a couple of times to make sure you don't have a blockage in the fuel line.

While you have the line off, get a clean glass jar and let the pump run a moment with the line in the jar. Do you get plenty of gas? If not, suspect blockage on the suction side, OR the suck tube isn't actually in the gas. Is the gas clean? You might have gotten some gunk into the system during the change. For that matter, is the gas GAS? You might have water in it.

Update.. Fuel pressure gauge adapter was defective. but there's plenty of pressure at the schrader valve and my OBD II computer says there's 32 - 40 PSI.
Plugs smell like fuel so im thinking its a spark Problem. my next guess is the coil pack.
the wires the attach to the coil pack are numbered in white pen so it leads me to believe its been replaced before or the engine been replaced.

so any ideas?

Check to see if you are getting spark first before you go spending a bunch of money on random parts.

Got it started. I opened the schrader valve and purged the fuel in the lines and rails. started right up!
Props to PNYXPRESS got me thinking about bad fuel & that was the "Dr.House" like moment that got me started
