Brake lights staying on all the time, draining my battery...
...as topic states. My brake lights are staying on all the time ( not the e-brake in the dash, but the whole brake lights in the back of the car), ('03 Mustang v6 convertible). Just noticed about two days ago. and between these two days I already have had to charge the battery once. Checked for the brake light switch under the dash and although it wiggles to about a 15 grade angle, the two wires are connected. If I wiggle the switch, the brake lights will go off. I was expecting to see a plunger type switch, but this is a bit more complicated. I don't even know how to remove it...Any thoughts on somewhere else to look, or would it be definitely the brake light switch. is there a tutorial here how to replace the complicated switch?
Thanks
Thanks

It is rather easy to replace took me about 5 minutes. Need needle nose pliers to get pin out and undo bolt. Really easy. You wont be able to tell if it is bad by moving it.
They are cheap replace it I will bet anything that is your problem
