Front Lower Ball Joint Replacement Question and Help
Okay so i have been reading how to replace my front lower ball joint and it seems doable even for me being a semi novice with mechanic work I have faith in myself and all. Its just most tutorials i see are if your ball joint needs pushed out in my case the bushing was worn so bad that the ball joint is no longer attached to the a frame and my a frame is kinda sitting in my rim lol. My question is how should i go about replacing it? Should i remove the wheel caliper rotor and spindle tie end rod as normal and how will i get the actual ball joint separated from the spindle without messing anything up? Is this actually easier and less time consuming like i think or more of a pain and hassle to go at it? Just what i should do with a arm and all will be helpful im thinking i should just jack up the a frame and do everything normal and maybe save some time by just having to press in the new ball joint. Thanks for all input and info greatly appreciated.

Watch some videos on YouTube, specifically the ones that pertain to your generation of Mustang. This is the easiest way to figured this out. You will need a ball joint removal tool and should be able to rent this from a national auto shop chain in your area.
