Default New Engine

Been inactive for some time now. I had a horrible engine tick on my little 244k mile v6 that eventually turned out to be a rod going bad. (Metal shavings in the oil after a 200 mile trip) but yesterday I picked up a new engine. 34k miles for $700 full complete engine minus alternator and radiator. Getting it put in this week then gonna look at some fun mods! Any suggestions? Already have exhaust and CAI. At 34k miles figured I could have some fun with it.

yeah the it's not a racecar mod, where you stop wiping it out pretending its a v8, enjoy your mpg's. seriously, you can even put a large block of wood under the accelerator. cost:almost nothing savings vs putting a "CAI" on the intake: apparently 700 bucks for another JY motor

I'm sorry I didn't need a bitch commenting. V6 is still an original mustang engine. Look it up if you don't know that. It's still high performance and I've saw plenty of V6 that are just as good as a V8. I wasn't "pretending it was a V8" yeah I race it at times idc. But if you don't have respect for what other people buy you shouldn't be here. Simple as that.

Any suggestions of which one? There's a lot of them and of course there's people ******* on each one. That's part of the reason I haven't bought one yet.

Not used one but American Muscle pushes Bama a lot and I like AM.

I like AM too. Just didn't know if there was a better one AM didn't carry. My uncle uses a SCT I think on his 35th anniversary GT. Bama from what I've saw people say is pretty good.

SCT is the handheld device. It's all the same no matter where you get it from. The difference is the who writes the tune installed on the SCT device.

BAMA is American Muscles exclusive tuner.

There are a few different tuners out there and most use the SCT devices.

Ah. His has SCT plastered everywhere. Not sure who made the tunes. I do know it has like 7 different tunes though. Which Bama should I get? I know they have a few options.

easy tiger,
just saying the v6 was made to be cheap(fact), not a rocket ship. the engines just weren't made to put out hp numbers or really be driven very hard. do what you want it's your car. ultimately i know the six can be fast but there's a lot more to it that a t shirt and bug screen air filter. didn't i recommend a turbo setup? tried to help
