Can anyone guess why?

Time's up, most roadways in the US have a slight peak towards their center (Crown) so that water runs off into the ditches and gutters. A slightly higher negative caster on the Drivers side helps to offset that so that the car tracks forward better.

Don't believe here, here's one point of reference. Many others are out there. Last section titled Road Crown and Custom Alignment. 2006 Ford Escape from the factory is set with more negative caster on the drivers side.

thats right. most trucks no matter who makes them will have a recommended caster cross of .75 deg to the left to account for road crown. i remember when gm redesigned the pickups in 99, i had a rash of right pull complaints, all of the trucks had caster that was even from side to side, i decreased the caster .75 deg on the left, reset the toe, and bingo fixed. but according to the specs i was within range. knowledge of stuff like this is what separates the experts from the run of the mill in the alignment game.

Thumbs up

Great replies from great people. Thank you so much. I am looking for an alignment center that knows what they are doing and can get me straight. I'll let you know when it is correct.

I drove it today (it is my daughter's car) and the pull (on the same roads) fells less than before, maybe. I do test it on what appears to be level road with minimal crown, if any, and drive straddling the stripe sometimes. It's not perfect but tolerable, some people might not even notice it unless they were asked to notice it. I will keep an eye on tire wear and try not to sacrifice a set of tires. If it gets worse, I'll take it to somebody that specializes in Mustangs who can fix it. I've been asking around. I could take it to a dealership, that I didn't buy it from, but would rather find somebody (that is not just a glorified tire and battery store) who can figure it out and make it right. Maybe I'm expecting too much but maybe not.
