What is the cheapest and easiest way to get more horsepower from my 2000 v6 mustang?

It depends on how much horsepower you want.

If you just want a little extra kick, a CAI and exhaust is usually the best starting point and can be done for under $300 if you're thrifty.

If you want some spice, a set of gears will really make it feel peppy. This can cost upwards of $500.

If you want to stop hearing crap about it being a V6, supercharge it. This will cost over 1K but is the best bang for the buck.
