Can any body offer advice on what i can do to gain more power out of the 2005 V6 by just doing basic tuning to the engine. Is there a way to adjust timing? and is there any possible way to mess around with the computer.

Get a tuner, and no you can't adjust the timining, you actually need to buy a new timer for that one, don't ask me where you can find one either. But a tuner will allow you to get roughly 10-20 hp as your engine is much more responsive than all of ours, so any tinkering you do will probably be drastically noticed. Now don't mess with the air to fuel ratio or spark advance, let a shop do this as they have the proper measuring devices. You can remove rev and speed limitators, reagjust your shift points if you have an auto, and tons of other things. I have a diablo, but the x cal is really good to, and no one isn't better than the other, they just have different ways of doing the same things, the X cal may be a hair bit easier to use, but the diablo offers more on hands type of tinkering that can be done.

Damn, I wish I had a pic of the internals, but a timer connects at the bottom to the crank shaft, or is inline with the crank pulley, the timer conects to the crank shaft by a chain liked pulley. The timer itself it a round pulley kinda thing, located unerneath your intake manifold and is connected directly to your camshaft, it uses the pulley setup to adjust your timing when you hit the gas. It's really hard to tell where it is, none the less exactly what it does unless you have a pic of the internals of our engines.
