just line up, keep it in drive, take the track off, put the overdrive on, keep the revs up and try to get a good launch and see what happens, tell get him to race u around the block or something your car is gonna handel a lot better. that way if his car is faster no one will know cuz u took the corners 40km/h faster then him. and he isjustgonna spin the thing outmake sure you drive your car really hard for a couple days b4 this race so your car knows what to do...shift at nice rpms. and dont spin the tires at take off. then after the race sipt in his face and tell him you car is faster and your a better driver

Your car has an on board "learning computer" which adapts to your driving style. For example if you always floor your car when you are already moving (I dont know why you would always but w/e) your car will set itself up to be ready to downshift even if you dont go anywhere near WOT. It actually mentions this in the cars manual. You can reset it by disconnecting your battery, then your car has to learn how you drive all over again.
