Default Turbo question!

Hi everybody! I just got another turbo from my friend. It's used, he got it for his Mazda (or Lotus, not sure)but never put it on. I've never seen turbos like this one. It's pretty small and it already has bov and something else on it(probably for his car'ssetup). On turbo says WARNED TURBO-IHI FORD...or something like that. Do you know anything about this brand and is it any good, or better than the t3ebay one I have?I would really be pissed if they are both junk![:@]

I would guess junk. With how small it appears, it's too small to make power on your car.
Why not just get the right thing instead of mess around with cheap and free parts?

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do....I just don't know what to ask for.

I was also wondering If I put one turbo on a car, and after want to change it for another, how would that work with piping? Will I need to change anything....or just find other with same size?

You might not get much more than about $20 for that thing. It looks like it's in terrible condition.

As for upgrading a turbo after one is on the car, you'll have to make sure your headers feed into a tube that uses the same size flange to turbo joints as well as the cold side plumbing.

I noticed that too. lol I would think that it would be fairly easy to tell the difference in them. Since the turbo says Ford and Mazda is owned by Ford I think we can make a logical conclusion here. Also who is Lotus owned by?
