I've got a 2.5T Ford at home, in Russia.
That thing's front-wheel-drive, and has a 2.5 inline-5 Volvo engine (i think it's the T5) paired to 6gear manual trans. It came from the factory with 220hp, when the stock Volvo S60 with the same engine makes about 250hp. I've changed my engine control's firmware to that of S60, and it actually became a lot more fun to drive(hence it's loaded as hell with extra weight - all the audio stuff's heavy). I really like the way it drives, in fact it makes 0-60 as fast as my dad's Audi A8 4.2Q..-we measured that at the track-)
The only thing that wrecks it totally - you can have that vehicle only with fwd.. No rear wheel drive, and no chance to make a 4wd(as on Volvo S60) either.. It can't be driven in winter..( Well, it can, but you'll be spinning wheels on all gears from 1st to 4th..
