Default stangant's DIY engine/turbo build thread

So i decided to go ahead and start this so I can get help and show my progress. I Really wanted to help others in doing this as well, due to the high amount of people I see that are looking for info on this stuff.
I will be starting with the first stage which includes the stock engine running with a T70.
The second stage I am building the 01 engine for the boost application i will be running 15-25psi on a T70.
If you see i am missing something from this list please let me know.
basemap tunes can be ordered from www.vmptuning.com all they require to know is your injector size and maf size. http://www.vmptuning.com/store/index...d=215&parent=0

You need a horsepower goal not just a "15-25 psi"

1.) I would consider a more custom cam than a 218/224
2.) I would consider doing a 4.2L stroker if your going to do all the work

I belive its bore and isn't the 4.2 just a stroked out version of the 3.8? He's probably referring to the custom 4.2 you can get through ssm...not sure though.

When u say 4.2L do u mean the truck engine? If so then noway, i am sticking with the mustang block with no boar just a polish down and thats it.

SuperSix tells anybody doing anything to get that cam, does it work? sure its just not very application specific.

I'm saying if your (actually) going to go through and spend money why not go ahead and get the 4.2/3 L stroker kit from ssms? If your going to try and do a twin kit, and everything might as well get the most out of everything right?

OK, so you have valve covers and UDP's, and that big long list is stuff you still need?

Sorry, I don't even see this thing getting done. If I recall correctly you've had "plans" for this build for quite a while, and all you have is about $300 worth of stuff (if that). Just cause you made a list of all the parts you need doesn't mean you're any closer or are actually going to finish.

Sorry, I've just seen a bunch of people with minimal bolt ons say "Oh I'm gonna do this, this, and this!" and then they sell the car or something.
