Anyone have a template or any tips while rigging one up at home?

I'd recommend doing a cardboard mock-up and using it as a template once you get the shape perfect. It's what I plan on doing when I get around to it lol

Like everyone else has stated, use cardboard and cut to fit. Transfer the cardboard outline to mdf or 1/4in plywood and cut out. Here is an excellent tutorial for you. Make sure to post some pics for us when its done. Looking forward to seeing your work. Good Luck!
