Where is it comming from van you tell? My guess would be it the passenger side manifold has cracked from the AC dripping on it it is a common problem on the 99+ cars

Does it go away or can you just not hear the ticking after it gets going? Just make sure all your bolts are tight on the flanges. Also check the undercarriage. If you see any of the black exhaust residue on the underside of the car by the pipes then you've found where it's leaking. And mattstang could very well be correct that it's the passenger side manifold. You just have to go looking for it if you really want to find it. Hope this helps.
