Default starting problems

i have a 2000 3.8 v6 manual tranny...i have put 2 fuel pumps on it within the last 4 months. sometimes u can hear fuel pump kick in and start and sometimes all u hear is just a click coming from tank....any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Wait whats the problem? Noise? The kick/click is normal, atleast I think it is.

yeah i could always hear the pump engaging and now sometimes just get a click from the tank...if i keep turning key off and on until i hear pump kick in will start. is it likely another bad pump or maybe a wiring issue
