That gave the 3.8 and extra 30 or 40 hp over the 95-98 3.8l?

and gave the body the "New Edge" makeover, removed the clock from on top of the dash and put 1(there is 2) functioning cup holder in the console.

40 hp gain from removing a clock? I'm so ditching the clock in the '67 ;D

yes i did....
but as a matter of fact the clock pod was an option, not standard in the sn95s.
(i have a 1998 without a pod or the provisions for one)
Now i have a 2002 in addition the the 98, but the 02 is in new jersey awaiting a tow... Going from 145 to 195 hp in approx the same weight car, what kind of difference in acceleration will that make? Just want to know what to expect.

You'll feel it a bit. The split port heads and intakes make a nice power jump over what the single ports made stock vs stock. Having two intake runners (one short, one long) per cylinder gives you not only more power, but a much wider power band to work with. You also have a bigger TB if I remember right, as well as a returnless fuel system.
