Flashing OD Light

On my way into school this morning my Over Drive OFF Light blinked while going up a STEEP hill, then proceeded to down shift automatically,putting me at 4000 rpms barely making 15 mph. Shifted to "2" and continued over the hill, shifted to n and drifted down, turning the ignition off and back on, Light stopped flashing, and hasn't come on in 20 miles. Whats Happening,

that sounds like a sensor, if it does it more constantly your trans could be starting to go

sounds like everything is working. You probably let the rpms get too low while going uphill so the car took over and downshifted like it's supposed to.
