First off Im new here and have had my v6r for about 5 weeks now. It had a blown rear when I got it so I swapped in a built 8.8 out of my old mustang. I also put on a mac catback, cai, upr ca's, h&r springs, strange 10ways and mm cc plates.
Now after that I've got 11k left to put into this car. And I'll start off with saying I want 500~ whp and the ability to run atleast low 12's. I chose to get a v6 because it's different. Plus I wanna whoop on an ls1 then see the look on his face when I tell him I've got a v6. . So here's the rest of my plan...
I've got a tko3550 from my past car as well, seeing as this has a t5 will this trans swap in if I get a new crossmember and ds, and does this motor have have same trans bolt pattern as a 302? Also. How much power/boost can the shortblock hold? I'm thinking of the power combo 3 from CRT and either a single or twin(suggestions??) turbo setup from TMA. For now I'm thinking 500 horse would be enough for me.
Where can I look for internal parts to put on this motor? Like pistons rods etc. How much power can the block itself handle?
Now lastly do you think I can do all this in my budget? I'm a certified tech so everythig will be done by me except for tuning. So no labor prices.
And what else do you guys suggest? Like I said I'm new to the v6 and I've been reading a lot on it in the past 2 weeks but I'm still not sure about a lot of things. Any help is appreciated.

as for the trans bolt question, i cant help you there. i dont believe the bellhousing patterns are the same.
The stock internals are good for about 350rwhp, safely. people have run as much as 450 through them, but thats on a AMAZING tune. the stock crank and block have yet to hit the limit- and theyve been pushed past 800hp. you can find internals at
www.supersixmotorsports.com . Have them put together a 4.2 or 4.3 stroker with a stage 3 topend kit. that will eat a good amount of your budget, but they will take damn near everything you can throw at it.
Call TMA and see what he thinks will be best for you. if 12's is your goal, you could even hit that with a basic vortech. go with a good single setup and youll easily hit your goal.
youll want to stiffen the chasis- subframe connectors at least, and you may need a rollbar, depending on how strict your track is.
