i have a 2000 mustang convertible, i put the car seat in the back and make sure the seat-belt will catch so the car-seat wont move. However my backseat is bigger then yours and i know it was a PAIN with my car.

Why is your backseat bigger? And buy a safer car for a baby! or get one of those sick recaro baby seats

Do you know if there is any latches that i can latch the car seat to? or did you just use the seat belt.

The latches are in the back dash. The Recaro seat won't work for infants, so I have to wait until the baby's about 8-12 months to get him one. I'm actually shopping for infant carriers on Amazon and BabiesR'Us right now lol

Which carrier did you end up getting? I'm thinking we're going to get the Graco Snugride travel system.

I thought vert backseats were smaller? I know they are narrower.

If you can't figure out the hooks, use the shoulder belt to hold it in just like any other car. Most seats have that H shaped metal clip with them to pull the shoulder belt to the lap belt so it slides through the seat base. Adjust your base so it sits level, and latch your seat in.
