Default $10,000 - $15,000 '03 V6 Project. Thoughts?

I have been thinking about trading my car in for a new one but I know the dealer isn't going to give me more than 5Gs for it and I don't to end up still owing 30Gs for a new one. So I have been thinking about settling for a 10-15G V6 project.

I was thinking about a V8 but, I've been leaning more towards the light and quick 6.

I could re-do almost everything and have a better than new car. I have a 2003 Auto Coupe.

All thoughts are appreciated. My sig is old so, don't go by the info on it.

Thanks guys.

I wouldnt consider the 03 v6 light and quick. When I had my 99 v6 I thought it was quick until i got my 01 gt. I was astounded at the difference. I could never go back to a v6 (not talking about the 2011 cause they did great with that.) If you have 10-15k or whatever why dont you buy a used s197. I seen plenty for about 15k for an 05 gt. And if you sell your v6 just by some bolt ons or a vortech.

15,000 is a lot of money to dump into a car. Thats my feeling. However you could build a badass 3.8. You have to weigh the options. Personally I would sell my car for 5k and but a 20k car. You can get a nice, newer car for $20,000.

dont see how a s197 is a pig, it does weigh more but has 40 more hp, much nicer interior, and as alot of others have said, responds much better to mods/tunes.

I would only get a new car if I absolutely needed to. My car is paid off and far from being fully modified.

As soon as I get a garage the car will be taken apart and restored to near show room condition.
