In all honesty, you should've been red flagged and DQ'ed for your passenger having their hand outside of the car on your run. That's just a standard safety concern... just make sure your passengers know that before you make a run.

This has been brought up multiple times with my local SCCA Region, and every time it gets brought up, the subject gets dismissed just as quickly. As far as I know, there is no rule against having a hand outside the window during autocross runs. I could be wrong. Never been DQ'd or flagged for it, never seen a rule written against it, but people constantly bring it up. Thanks for the heads up, though.
