Default anyone have bama 91 race tune?

i was wondering if any of you auto guys are running a 91/93 race tune?
my sct tuner is on its way and it will have the BAMA 87 street and performance, and a 91 race tune.

how much of a difference does the race tune make in 1/4 times?

i have intake, 1/2 intake mani spacer, bbk shorties, catted h and dual flowmasters.

ive heard many good reviews just want some more input on your experiences.

I'd let you know if I could get mine to ship :/ . Make sure the select button works as well, lol.

Not good enough to justify paying $4.40 a gallon for 91...

Price of gas aside, it does make a difference.

When you know you are going to the track, run your tank down to E, then fill about 1/8 of a tank with 91 and go to the track. Bring an extra gallon of fuel with you just in case if you dont have stations close to the track or if they do not sell fuel at the track.

The only reason I'd go higher than 87 is for forced induction. Otherwise it won't make enough of a gain that the average driver will notice it.

As Roush said, the 91/93 octane tune doesn't make enough difference for anything other than FI to even try to justify the extreme price of those gases. It's because of the price of those gases that I traded in my 99 Cobra and didn't buy an 03/04 or Shelby.

For the track it does matter though, my slips showed about a 10th gain from running the 87 tune to the 91 tune, and that was just the canned SCT tune. Though like Matt said, the average driver wont notice it, and 1/10 isnt something most would notice.

but like we all already said, for the street its not worth it.

Well a 1/10th track gain due to one tune to another could also be driver. Two drivers can drive the same car and get vastly different times. You would need to do 3 or more runs with each tune and take the average to see any gains if any.

We ran 13 times one night because there werent many people that showed up, thats when I was playing with the tune to see what kind of gains we had from no tune, 87 tune, 87 + shift points and 93 + shift points.

I am not the most consistent driver though, my wife is much better at that than I am.
