GT, Mach 1, or Cobra is your best bet. V6 is what you buy cause you can't afford one of the others. Such as with the new 2011s where V6s can be had for 25K or less, and the GTs they want 30k+ for anything with options.

Or what you bought when you didn't care.

I can remember telling people my old 95 sixxer hits 30mpg on the freeway and people just look at you like your stupid. It's a fact, only mods were k&n and a strut tower brace, which is pretty much stock. Mixed driving right about 25mpg. Now my old 2000(wrecked and sold), that thing was the worst on mileage and ran just fine. I should of bought the GT, probably would of hit better mileage and WAY more fun to drive. From what I hear, most people don't get good mileage with the 2000 model for some reason. Who knows, I'll just blame FORD and call it a day.

There are select 99-04 stangs that get poor MPG due to overly rich tuning by ford. The 00 is the worst as it has an extremely rich factory tune. If you look up 99-04 Mustang V6 stock dynos with A/F ratio ran, the 00 is the richest.
