What upgrades make most difference in a V6?

We're all in the same boat here guys us sixxers just wana go fast that's all lol. But hey guys what about updating the gears and especially upgrading the suspension and grip? Jeez all I did was put wider tires on my car and it upped the performance. Didn't even have to lift the hood! Lol

You just typed a LOT of information all leading me to believe you don't know how to mod a '97 3.8L pushrod V6. My favorite part is thinking higher octane means more power on an N/A V6. I almost fell off the sofa.
I always build a car from the ground up. To me, suspension/brakes come first. You can have a very 'fast' feeling car without adding a single hp.

Ok s197 drivers, stick to your message board (unless you have actual experience in sn95-new edge design).
OP, the best be you have is to listen to lilroush. Also log back in, read and give us some ideas on your situation.
Here are some of my observations.
Either m90 supercharge swap or split port with m112 or single turbo setup. The m90 swap will make as much as just the split port swap alone so not much advancement. Doing the swap plus power adder will net you much more and I tend to lean to the more efficient turbo setups.
I do have to agree if you want power setup for it first. That mean appropriate brake upgrades, suspension, fuel and engine.
Also what is the trans? If it is auto you will probably want to look at jmoding or manual a good sturdy clutch.
Another good thing to read through is our tech guides. Lots of good info.
