Default Fuel Filters

Ok, I'm getting started on my tune up for my 04. I've got my new air filter. Being as I'm planning on getting an SR Performance Intake by the end of summer, I opted for a basic air filter from Wal-Mart. It'll work for now. I'm going to replace the spark plugs and I think the wires as well. But my fuel filter has me a bit confused. Being as I'm on a budget at the moment I'm just looking into regular filters not performance ones. Anyhow, I came across two types of filters. A standard filter and a Flex Fuel filter. Is there any difference between the two? Other than the price, the standard filter is half the price of the flex.

Unless you install a high volume fuel pump you don’t need a performance filter. As for standard vs flex fuel, go with the standard. Your motor isn’t a flex fuel motor.
