I'm wondering what the top speed for a stock 05 v6 is. I'm guessing around 230 km/h . I have a K&N filter in mine and am wondering if it is worth it to take off the govenor and face warranty problems.

The fastest I've gone is 115mph but chickened out (fear of Highway Patrol)

The stock speed limiter is set at 113, fuel cuts off at that point. Theoretical top speed is 140ish i believe.

Have you taken your governor off? 115 is where the governor cuts off at, right?

140 might be tranny. with 260 hp my car was drag limited at 135. It just stuck at 4k rpm and couldnt pull past it. since the new 6er has 200, I would suspect it be shy of 135 somewhere.

What perfomance options void warrenty, is it for sure that taking off the governor will void the warrenty?

i dont know man i would guess closer to 140. at 115 it is still pullin really good, and its not even maxed in fourth, so i would say at least 125 in fourth, then you go to fifth and probably not much left after that.
and its 210 lol

yeah, I keep forgetting that, but 210 wont be enough to overcome drag. the force from drag multiplies exponentially. it may pull hard at 115 only to fall to nohting at 125. My car pulled hard all the way to 135 and then just quit. its how it works.

cool man ill just have to get a tuner and prove you wrong! im jk your probably right but who knows! my friends volvo has 168hp and does 147 (yeah, dont ask) . but it is more aerodynamic than the stang.
