Pro 5.0 Shifter For a V6
I finally got my Pro 5.0 shifter bought and installed a week back. I have been using it for a week and It was worth every dollar. I haven't used the hurst so I can't say anything to compare them 2 together but if you have problem hitting 3rd gear while shifting than Pro 5.0 is the shifter for you. I know some of the people here had me believing that the pro 5.0 is for the GTs only, Well actually I found no documentation anywhere that stated that the pro 5.0 shifter (GT) would fit the V6. I posted the question here a while back and everyone said that the shifter wasn't going to fit but it doesn't only fit great, but it works great. So to all you Hurst shifter lovers, I have a Pro 5.0 shifter and I love it.

Cool so the shifter works with no problems on the V6.
That is the shifter I wanted but everybody said it would not work.
Did you have to do any kind of modifying to get it to work or was it a straight bolt it.
Thanks for testing it for the rest of us V6 owners[sm=smiley20.gif]

I didn't install it myself but the mechanic said that it was direct bolt on. If you are somewhat good in doing mechanical stuff than you should be OK. I have a web site that shows steps by step instructions on a GT but I think it will also apply for the V6.
