do i have a lemon
Thanks to all those that replied about my car not starting. The dealership said they are aware of the amps draining the battery but wont fix it if their tests come up fine. Today i had another major problem. I was leaking gas very badly making my 48 mile drive to work. The whole inside of the car smells majorly of gas fumes. The lovely people at ford roadside refused to tow my car from the highway because it could have gone on fire. After the fire company and police cleared it a private company had to tow it 30 miles back to the dealership and they wanted me to pay for it when they cant figure out whats wrong with the car. After starting to look at it today they said they cant find anything wrong yet again. Last I checked leaking gas (1/4 of a tank in about 20 minutes) generally is not a good thing or very safe. Corporate customer service is no help. Do i have a lemon?? Any ideas on what to do? I'm paying for a car i cant even use![:@]

dont bother dealin with ford, they are as bad a-wholes as anywhere else, if its still under warranty, file for the lemon law and report to them what ur doin here, that ford refuses to fix it and roadside refused to tow it

Check the lomen laws in your state. Usually if you had problems in the first 30 days it falls under a lemon law. Were does the gas puddle form under the car. If you park on dirt put sheets of cardboard under it after a drive to see were it's leaking.

Wow..you are driving a time-bomb there. Check out the lemon laws. Dang, there's got to be something you can do..otherthan.....trading it for a new one. That will let the dealer who sold it to you having to deal with it on their dime and time.

I think it is time to find another dealership. Call around and explain the problems. If you feel more comfortable with them over the phone-then get the thing towed over there and let them work on it. It sounds like the dealer you are working with should not be in business.
If they have half a brain, they can tell where theleak starts-the gasoline will leave a stain on the underside of the car. Itcould bea loose connector or a cracked line.
Keep us posted-Thanks

or better yet, get a permit from the town/city to protest outside of the dealership on the side of the road. Make signs that say I bought this lemon here or something and call news crews from all over the place. They'll comply real fast

Sorry to hear your troubles. So much for customer service. I bet when you were in the process of buying your pony that they were all over you like vultures. No wonder Ford is taking such a big hit. This is not a wayto treat customers...
