The biggest problem with nitrous (and the most common) is spraying at low RPMs (accoring to ZEX, that is anything below 2500). The window switch is a little device that does not allow a person to spray outside a set range of RPMs.

So, for example, I will be setting my window switch to allow nitrous between 2700 and redline (2.7 for extra safety)

Not sure but I believe its somthing thatsprogramed to let the nitrous go at a certain rpm. So you don't haft to press the button. You would set it at something safe of course, not 2000rpm! lol

Some one chime in for a more technical explanation.

Yes, and if you get the upgrade kit it will spit blue flames out of your exhaust tip

EVERY power adder will shorten the life of your engine. Doesn't matter if it's a supercharger, turbocharger, or nitrous.

When it comes down too it, they all do essentially the SAME THING. They all introduce more oxygen into the combustion chamber, so that more fuel can be burned.

Used impropperly or poorly tuned, any power adder will destroy your engine.

With that being said, I'm a nitrous guy. Have thought about going FI a few times, but there are too many of you doing that. I want 12s on bottle. I want >300RWHP on bottle.

Right now, I'm nowhere close (prolly high 13s), but I just received the final components to add my second stage.

Will tune at 75shot @ 2700 & 50shot @ 3200.

Next will be upgrading the fuel system. Then I'llbump those shots up 25 each (and maybe raise the rpm's a bit).

Good luck! With the 125HP shot i ran a 13.13 with little or no spin... Here's the dyno sheet from the 125
