Go to your nearest auto parts store and get a "claybar kit".

It will come with detail spray, a clay bar, and some wax to finish up with.

Wash the car with dawn dishwashing soap to remove and wax that is surrently on the car, then use the kit.

Use plenty of spray while you rub the clay bar on the car to keep it "lubricated".

After doing a portion of the hood rub your hand over the freshy cleaned section, and then a section that has not been cleaned yet. You will be suprized at the difference.

Once the clay bar is done, give it a good coat of wax and you will

I agree about the dish soap, not good!!The new Mr. Clean Car wash system works really good... As far as wax goes I've tried several on my redfire Mustang, including Ice, and wasn't impressed.I recently switched to Meguiars NXT tech wax, makes the redfire shine look about 3 feet deep!! Car looks better than it did when I bought it. I'll never use anything else!!!!

I agree Mothers products work really well with my Torch Red Stang, I think Rrruss is right about the Dish soap it is only to take off the old wax, other than that you should not use dish soap.
I am going to do a light polish on mine this weekend (getting a PC 7424 for Fathers Day) then do Sealer/glaze and about 3 coats of Mothers Pure Carnuba Wax.

as far as washing goes. either mothers ( great but a little pricy) or imo the armorall works wonders. after using that you dont even need to wax the car, it gives it a rediculas shine. i was really impressed when i used a sample of it. now that is all i buy. for waxing, definatly the NXT everything else that i have used has streaked. i effin hate streaks
+1 on the redfire hahah

it's a local special, but it comes with the stripes, the works, 1 of 200, chrome rolled tip for the muffler..but i got rid of that since i got the MRT. it's basically got every single option you can get for the car for a crap load cheaper.
