RE: PART 2 - interior/exterior mods, sleeper Mustang
I appreciate response to what I've done as well as what others on here do with their rides, and I personally don't mind any negative. If I put something out there, I should expect both good and not so good. To respond to one of the comments above, the rear seat 3 piece combo weighs a little more than 5 pounds, about 40 pounds is more like it. To me, it's not any individual reduction that counts, it's a collective group of things. Infact, weight reduction is something that should be approached with a goal in mind, not just randomly picking any one thing to pull minimal weight off your car - and for what??? To a degree, I agree with the point made above infering what is accomplished byminimal weight reduction to our Mustangs. At best, I've probably spent 5 to 6 thousand dollars on mods and the ones related to weight reduction have probably only taken off somewhere between 3 and 4 hundred pounds total. Is the car any more special because it now weighs maybe 3000 or 3100 pounds? Nah! Most of the ego and joy is in our heads anyway. So thank you guys that do respond to what I've put on here because I personally enjoy seeing what others do to their whips. Jack

Nice ****. So how does it feel to have a 2 seater mustang? Don't listen to people saying the rear seat delete is only 5lbs. I no, I've taken out my 2rear seats to check the weight andwith all their componentsit adds up to at least 30lbs w/o counting seatbelts and other things. How'd u get that weight reduction of 300lbs+? I'm looking into some weight reduction before I get my supercharger in February. All I know of is BMR's front sway/radiator support kit, Spare/jack/trunk carpet, and the rear seat delete. Have u had any problem's with the hood liner gone? That's a good idea for some weight reduction and looks. How hard was it to take off and what kinda weight did u save? And for people who don't think weight reduction is worth it, it adds up.U have gained at least 3mpg for doing it and are at least 3 tenthsquicker in the 1/4. And stripping the emblems on the car makes it look more clean. It looks nice. If u want the car to look more clean, u can get clear turn signal lights in the front and rear sides, andan aftermarket grill w/o the pony. That should make it look real smooth and sleek. Good luck w/ur future plans!

You didn't state why you removed the seats. I hope you never plan on selling the car. Did you just buy it to race it? If so why a V6?
