not too fond of obvious non-functional scoops, I'll get something other than the GT

You can make it functional... cut a hole in the hood and remove the faceplate of the scoop... or simply drill some holes into it. I'm thinking about doing that.

RE: hood scoop
I have thought about adding a hood scoop as well. Its cheaper than buying the whole hood any way...My question is, how hard is it to mount. Is it true that you mount them with3M tape????? Does that really work?
For those that have done it, are you glad you did or would you have been better off with a new hood?

RE: hood scoop
functionality of a scoop? i think they pretty much proved in the 60s that scoops don't really do too much for you (if anything at all - think of how air travels over the car), but it justLOOKS good

RE: hood scoop
I have the Cervini b9. It's screwed on as well as taped with 3m. Doesn't shake or rattle (and the thing is friggin' huge).
Only pic of the front (took it when she was FILTHY)
In the future, I plan on getting the shaker, but don't really like how small the actual scoop is, which is why I went with Cervini (high enough to later install the shaker).
