Default Best upgrade to "Spoof" up my car?

What would the be the best upgrade for me to do to my car to spoof it up in your guys' opinions? There is something very... plain... about it.

I do have a budget. Anything over $300 is out of range right now. (College costs too much! :P)

So what could I do to spoof it up on the outside? If your going to say something color orientated then tell me what color! I just want to hear some opinions!! Thanks

Oh! P.S. it does have license plates now!! :P

1st off, love the color

Depends on what you're really going for man. First off, lose the dent strip on the doors. Since you have a budget I'd go with some clear front turnsignals, a shorty antenna and a different grille. $300 can get you a number of things soooo do some research, I'm sure you'll find some ideas...

Have fun!

Default spoofing is spiffy

Well to spoof it up I'd go with GT badging
But to spiff it up I'd suggest a stripe kit and maybe a hood scoop.

Do you all think that a spoiler (just a normal Mustang Spoiler) would look nice? I found one for around $100 on a website (cant remember which website). Also, how about the tri-bar pony emblems on the side? I think I could get these things bought/installed for under $135-$150. I know a guy who does a lot of work on cars and he's really cheap.

Yep, i love my spoiler. Id definatley get rid of those door dent stripes. Get some dental floss or fishing line and run it behind the strip and it should come off...and use some goop off to get the rest of the sticky off

Love the HP White!!!

In my opinion, the factory GT spoiler reall ythrows off the shape of the car. If that's the one you're talking about.

I think some silver stripes similar to these would look really nice on your car.

Nevermind.....didn't see that you wanted under 300. I say black upper billet grille or stripes.

Original Poster is on a budget......so ......

#1 .....first mod: Remove door ding stripes, and dealership decals/emblems(if you have them) by any means necessary......a day in the sun will allow you pull them off fairly easily......the hotter the better. Clean off any glue residue with Goo-Gone.....or rubbing alcohol, you may have to scrape off any 3-M tape residue with a fingernail........wax the doors after you do it.
(rubbing alcohol removes car wax)

Shorty Antennae, the 14 inch looks good In my Opinion.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/14in-antenna.html
(site sponsor)

Tint those windows as dark as you can!, but check out Tacobills write-up on MOLESKIN before you tint windows......do a search .....you will find it.

All of these are good (cheap/Free) first modifications that we have all done.

NICE Pony, love the color, welcome to the herd!...have you named her yet?

I would say tint if not louvers. I got my louvers from stage 3 motorsports for 69.95 free shipping. Or if you wanted a spoiler roush.

To musicheadt;

I didnt get to name her (him?!)... My girlfriend would have been overly jealous had I got to name it... So my gf named it "Mustang Majulious" (spell check?!) I think she see's the car as a "boy", but I call it a her. :P

I really think some stripes would look nice on the car, but I'm really debating that. I just wish I could find an 05-new Mustang GT at the junk yard or something so I could rip a bunch of stuff out of that.

Also, about the Door Ding Stripes-
If I remove them will my paint be discolored? Its a 2007 car. I wont remove them if my paint is going to possibly be discolored.. (I cant afford a paint job!! :P) Also, anyone know where I can get the Tri-Bar pony emblems? Everyone tells me to check ebay but I've searched there and have come up with nothing... Also, how hard are they to install? I've read instructions and that seems easy, but how hard is it getting them straight, and in the right position?

Also, do all Mustangs come with these Door ding stripes? I never really took note of them until I've seen it mentioned here and I've just now did a Google Image search and after around 5 pages of images I found only one other Mustang with these Door ding stripes (It just happens to be another HP White V6 just like mine :P). Does everyone come with these? Also if I take them off will I be able to (if I ever wanted to) to reattach them? How about sell them?
