Default mustang stripe

So I got my mustang about a month ago used. Its an 05 and don't really like the look of the mustang stripe but I am afraid to take it off because I don't know if the paint wont match so my question is would their be a ghost mustang and strip if I do take it off the previous owner said it was garage kept which i think should help.

pop the hood and see if the paint on the front fender is the same as under the hood...if the paint looks faded on the fender compared to under the hood...you will notice, if not, your good!

Default stripes

I removed mine and then used some rubbing compound.
No difference in paint color.

I took my gt/cs stripes off at a car wash with the water pressure from the hose. No problem with the paint but it’s a 2009 car. Tried pealing them off first and it was going to take a long time. The car wash only took about five minutes.
