Default stalling on left turn

Hey all. My wife said that when she made a sharp left hand turn, the engine stalled. I did a quick search and didn't find anything. Anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

Hmm never heard that one before....Maybe the rpm's dropped as the turn was made and that caused the engine to stall? Did you try to see if you could get it to stall again? Is it auto or manual?

yes, I tried to make it stall by hanging a quick left AND a U turn. It's an auto. She had been driving on the highway at about 75-80 and had pulled off onto the access road and was making a left when it stalled.

It could have something to do with the fuel filter or fuel pump .

There's a TSB out on this, Ford needs to install a new fuel pump. I had the same issue with my 06 and had the dealer take care of it, haven't had that problem since. Take it to the dealer and tell them what happened, won't cost you anything if your car is still under warranty.

Found a link, there's a good write up about it here: https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...ng-cruise.html. Don't let the dealer tell you there's nothing wrong with your car; it's a known problem, make them fix it. Let us know how it goes!
