Default Shudder/scratching noise

Hey all,

I've got an 06 auto that's making a funny noise...
When driving up a steep hill in overdrive the car makes a scratching/shuddering noise (sounds like its coming from around the throttle body area) under light/moderate acceleration before downshifting. Anyone else had this problem, any ideas? Happens with the stock tune and custom tune. Thanks for the help!

No, never hear of this. It sounds like its caused by excess strain on the trans...
I would say take it to have that looked at (transmission) how many miles and have u ever changed the trans fluid and that stuff?

I've got just over 32k miles on the car. I haven't been able to find a shop that can service my trans. I've tried a couple of the local ford dealerships and a handful of other shops, they either tell me that they need a fitting that isn't available yet, or the transmission does not need service since it's a sealed unit (bogus).

bazaar, most places around here do it. You do need a special tool pump thingy (yes that is the technical name for it) but most places do have it. If you live in a small town maybe try calling up some places in the closest large town.

My car makes a shuddering sound sometimes if I'm stopped at a stoplight. Also, if I put my windows down as soon as they're all the way down it does it too. It kinda feels like the whole car is shivering or something. It's been doing that awhile now... not sure what it means.

I guess it's something like that... when it happens I feel a quick vibration in the car. The RPMs don't seem to change when it happens though.
