FREE etching..... nice little complimentary package. ;-)

Question: Since you had the S&B CAI installed AFTER you already had a tune from SuperChips, did you have to get a new tune to adjust with the new S&B CAI?
From what I have read, when you buy a tuner, you have to list all of your mods on your car, so they are able to tune accordingly. Is this correct?

the tune with superchips isn't per car... unfortunately... it takes your stock car and just adjust settings... i had a little snag in my budget that caused me not to get a custom tune... so i'm going to do my exhaust and headers and then i'll get a custom tune

re-tuning per CAI is "usually" only required if the CAI has an oversized MAF housing (C&L, Steeda, JLT, Demolet, VMP, etc.). if a CAI keeps the factory housing diameter, then any general canned tune or even custom tune for factory setup will work. throttle response is the primary benefit of a "no-tune-required" CAI.

and if the main reason you want a CAI is for the sound and for getting rid of the throttle response lag... it's definitely worth the money... i like that look compared to most no-tune required CAI's

Oh-OK. I plan on getting either the Brenspeed or Bama performance tune once my funds permit. I heard this will help wake up the CAI I have in place now. :-)

I've heard a lot of good things about Doug at Bamachips. :-)
The price at Brenspeed it a little better, however, I am not sure how the custom tuning side compares.

IMO, your choice is a win win... actually, you can get both, one shop now and another shop later.
