Default Craigslist is my hero - floor matt special!

So today I met up with someone who posted on Craigslist, I picked up 2 brand new set of Pony Package floor mat's for a total for $40. They're the black mat's with the silver metal "mustang" along the side, both packages are still in their original plastic. Amazing and maybe the best 40$ i've spent on the mustang so far. So now I have the set that are in my car, a second set to use when it's not raining, and maybe the 3rd set will be for cruises or car shows? i dunno yet. but i love having this kind of problem on how to utilize 3 complete sets of mats haha

thanks for the lesson oddysey, i'll remember that.

Normal price of Pony Package mats? Honestly I have no idea. I've never been able to find them anywhere for sale aside from on the car when you buy it. I was able to find the generic black OEM floor mats and they sell for $30 a set. so my special edition ones are $10 less than the plain black ones... i'm guessing the Pony Package mats would sell betweeen 40 and 60$ a set? who knows. if someone can find me a price comparison that'd be great. eventually i'd like to get a running tally of how much money i've saved by buying new equipment through alternate channels.

LOL so i looked around Ebay to see if i could find a matching set to what I bought today, for a price comparison.

Here's a listing for the exact ones I bought, mine are black with the silver steel "Mustang" engraving. I paid $20 a set for mine, this ebay listing has it at $125 plus shipping per set! wow someone's been drinking

The regular black mats are $60 for the fronts only, with the pony logos $125 for the fronts only. These are the prices that my local parts department at the ford dealer gave me. He said that the computer said that the black mats were $30 but that that was the wrong price. They were special order and I ordered the black ones.

thanks for the info. $125? really?

The Pony Package didn't have pony logo's on them, it's a metal plate riveted through the carpet with an engraving that says Mustang. Just like the Ebay link i put above that had some company selling them for $125 plus shipping. If ford is selling these mats for $125 then i really feel bad for taking both sets from this lady for a total of $40.

I guess she used to work for Saleen and they were from some of the cars they transitioned.

Those look nice. Sorry my comment above seemed short and kinda rude, it wasn't meant to be I was just busy when I posted it

$125 for floor mats are too expensive.

I have these mat's becuase my car came with them and even though they look good, they suck. The black paint in mustang indent slowly rubs off over time. Mine are like half silver half black now where it says mustang
