Sorry, poneygirl, but you're in the 2005-2013 forums.

My '06 has an electrical gremlin. Things happen that don't make any sense at all. Anytime there is a tail light issue, I replace them all. Most times that does the trick even though all the old ones test out fine. Next year, I am going to open a store selling slightly used 4057 bulbs.

Have you checked for the dreaded water leak by the passenger kick panel and have you read the associated TSB?

The drain holes are open, the SJB is dry, and thanks to the Ford Wiring Diagram book, I have checked everything. I was raised by an electrician, spent a number of years as an electro-mechanical tech, and can't figure it out. Somehow it defies physics so I have learned to accept it for what it is.

All cars (and machines) have a soul and I think my Pony was abused in a previous life. I try to reassure and remind it I chose it over the BMW 328 convertible. If I am nice, keep it shiny, and drive like a madman every now and then, the gremlin goes in to hibernation for a while.

Come to think of it, it sounds like the soul of a former girlfriend.
