Hi!
i need one info about my AUTO Trans Mustang;
I will disable the rpm limiter in neutral gear;dafault is 3.500/4.000RPM,i can use Diablo Predator tuner..i don't like this setting---

Correct me if I'm wrong but, our stock drive shafts are weak and those rpm limiters (while in gear) keep our shafts from spinning faster than they can handle (or at least from spinning at the speed where those clips come out). In addition, if you remove it and rev too high won't you start floating your springs?
I pushed my limiter to 6350? But never go that high in gear and can't go that high in neutral.

The driveshaft speed depends upon the gear. You'd have to be in like 5th gear at a high RPM to over-rev the driveshaft because it is after the tranmissions ratio's have been applied.
As far as the engine, the engine runs smooth at high RPM but isn't really tuned for it. Like you say, the valve train may be the weak link.

Ive heard people say that the stock rev limiter is set there in neutral because its not supposed to be good for you to rev your engine that high with no load on it. I don't actually know the mechanical reason behind it though.
